Many years ago, engineers in Graz developed a totally new type of DNA. The DNA of an off-road vehicle – iconic, robust and virtually indestructible. They designed parts which continue to perform the very same functions to this day. Components which have given rise to a highly distinct character over generations.

The unique DNA of the G-Class arose some 40 years ago. Iconic features which continue to define its unparalleled appearance to this day.

Its functional, robust front has retained its character over decades. Clear lines and large, flat surfaces shape the side view of the G-Class. Characteristic features are the two large windows in the rear and the exposed spare wheel on the rear-end door. The striking wheel arch liners and the wide track provide for a dominant appearance.

On-road performance

On-road performance.

No natural enemies in the wild and a commanding presence on the road. The new G-Class boasts an axle architecture with exact wheel location and precision steering, resulting in noticeably improved on-road performance.

Untouchable.

The new G-Class is not only in its element in off-road terrain. The off-roader is equally uncompromising on asphalt. On the road, the vehicle offers a whole new level of dynamism and comfort and delivers the type of driving enjoyment with which G-Class drivers have long been familiar in off-road terrain.

The G-Class reconciles opposites. Luxury meets adventure and ruggedness is combined with protection. Inside, high-quality materials and high-class appeal provide for a particularly refined atmosphere and impart an absolutely safe and secure feeling. The new COMAND Online system supports the driver with additional functions which noticeably take the strain out of driving on every trip. The ambient lighting bathes the interior in any of 64 selectable light moods if desired, and the optional Burmester® surround sound system treats the occupants to the ultimate audio experience.

The vehicle also offers substantially more space for all those on board. Newly designed seats upholstered in finest nappa leather impart a feeling of security and the optionally available massage function provides for relaxation, whether you are in city traffic or far away from civilisation.
